Lesley Linley Month of Art 2025 Winner Exhibition
Ground Floor. 2 Jun - 29 Jul 2026 Lesley works in traditional watercolour, a medium that she finds exciting and challenging. Most of her working life has been art related, as Graphic Designer, Tutor, calligrapher and painter; she now concentrates on painting. She lived on the Isle of Skye for almost fourteen years and opened a studio there, running watercolour workshops for local people and visitors from UK and overseas. Her paintings have made their way to USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.
Her favourite subjects are the landscapes with which she is so familiar, places which evoke memories, areas of Skye and Lochalsh and Derbyshire. Flowers and glassware provide another source of inspiration, combining her love of flowers with complex shadow patterns. Read more -

Ground Floor. Peak District Artisans Young Emerging Artist Award. 4 - 26 Aug 2026 We are proud supporters of the PDA Emerging Artist Award.
The winner is invited to become a member Peak District Artisans with subsidised fees for three years. Support and opportunities are provided with the intention that after three years the artist/maker will be able to fund their membership of the group independently, setting them on the path to work as a professional artist.
Specifically PDA provides:
Cash prize of £150
Membership of PDA for 3 years with subscriptions subsidised on a diminishing scale
Support and advice from experienced artists and makers
