Denise is a contemporary fine artist and former professional muralist with a lifelong passion for creativity and detail.
A heat semi-finalist in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year (2022), she has exhibited at the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries, London. Her artistic journey began in childhood, progressing from early craft fairs and miniature painting to working with porcelain, sculpture, and ultimately large-scale murals. She built a successful 11-year career specialising in trompe l’oeil (trick-of-the-eye) painting, completing commissions for private clients, businesses, and public spaces, including a full interior scheme for Tarantino’s Italian Restaurant in Brentwood, later featured by Lime Pictures for The Only Way is Essex. Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media, her practice combines photorealistic precision with an evolving exploration of texture and impasto techniques. Alongside her own work, Denise runs Easel Weasel workshops, where she shares her experience and encourages others of all abilities to discover and develop their creative voice. Denise came second in the Hopton Hall Month of Art 2025 competition.
