Sue Quinby British, b. 1979

Sue is a Derbyshire-based watercolour artist whose work is inspired by the landscapes of the Peak District.
Sue Quinby finds scenes that captivate her through their light, colour and aesthetic appeal. She has been painting professionally for over ten years and is known for a quirky, colourful style that often features silhouettes of trees and British wildlife, particularly deer. Her watercolours are created with spontaneity, embracing the medium’s transparency and unpredictability, and are through local stockists and at artisan markets and exhibitions throughout the East Midlands. Regular walks in the Peak District with her dog provide continual inspiration for her work, which aims to evoke a sense of peace and connection with nature.
